1. Who we are
This policy applies to Btab Ecommerce Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including BTAB Corporation Pty Ltd (together, “Btab”, “we”, “us” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, and company, submitted through our contact form or by email.
- Account information where you register for one of our platforms.
- Any content you send us in correspondence.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data including IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system, recorded in our hosting provider’s server logs.
- Usage data such as pages visited and referring URLs, from the same logs.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our platforms.
- To send you information about our services where you have consented or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who process data on our behalf — such as hosting, form handling, email delivery, and payment providers — and with regulators or law enforcement where legally required. All processors are bound by confidentiality obligations.
5. International transfers
Btab operates across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Asia. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally we put appropriate safeguards in place.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as required by law.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Australia — Privacy Act 1988
BTAB Corporation Pty Ltd handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. We will respond within a reasonable period, usually 30 days.
If you believe we have breached the APPs, contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
9. United Kingdom and European Economic Area — GDPR
Where the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR applies, including through our London office, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business, or compliance with a legal obligation.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, or receive a portable copy of your personal data; to restrict or object to its processing; and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that has already taken place. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
10. California — CCPA
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request that we delete or correct it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
The categories of personal information we collect are those listed in section 2: identifiers and contact details, the content of your correspondence, and internet activity recorded in server logs. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set cookies of its own and does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. It stores one item in your browser’s local storage:
- btab-theme — whether you chose the light or dark theme. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and remains until you clear your browser data.
Two pages embed content from third parties:
- Investors — a share-price widget from TradingView.
- Contact — an office map from OpenStreetMap.
These providers may set their own cookies or read your IP address when their content loads; their own privacy policies apply. Contact form submissions are delivered through Formspree. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If we add analytics, we will update this section and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
12. Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
